P.E.I. entrepreneurs pitch in to help Toronto garbage strike

Two island brothers have turned a sour smelling garbage strike into a sweet smelling business idea. Bill and Bob Hennessey of Charlottetown have created a business called Toronto Sameday Garbage Removal in an effort to capitalize on the city worker’s strike and the piles of waste that have been growing since it began.
Employing university students and working with independent contractors, the business picks up garbage by appointment from residences in north Toronto, and offers commercial pickup throughout the city.
For $50 per visit and $10 a bag, Toronto Sameday Garbage Removal will take your garbage away and send it to landfills outside the Toronto area.
Although this service seems to be logical and positive business initiative to clean up a city that appears to be living up to its pet name ‘The Big Dirty’, some Torontonians aren’t as positive.
