Sprinkler System Sales Representative
SimplexGrinnell, a division of Tyco International, is a recognized leader in the manufacture, sales, and service of state-of-the-art monitor and control systems for fire alarm, security, integrated systems and sprinklers systems. Essential to the continued growth and success of their Newfoundland division is the placement of an effective Sprinkler System Sales Representative.
In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for professionally representing SimplexGrinnell with respect to the promotion and sale of large contract offerings to various customers and end users within an assigned territory and accounts.
Responsibilities of the Sprinkler System Sales Representative will include: establishing contact with prospects and qualifying potential buyers of equipment installation contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads and utilizing outlined marketing strategies; determining customer needs and developing a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of Company installation and service offerings; and closing sufficient sales to exceed sales plan objectives. In addition, the Sprinkler System Sales Representative will be responsible for conducting building surveys to support the development of equipment installation estimates, and developing a positive ongoing relationship with customers.
We
seek a candidate with five or more years of sales experience within the fire
protection industry that includes previous sprinkler design experience,
estimating and performing hydraulic calculations. Your record of sales success
speaks for itself. You have the ability to close sales and handle a variety of
situations encountered during the sales process. With a completed college
diploma in fire protection, or equivalent work experience, you are a natural
leader and negotiator who constantly strives to exceed the expectations of your
customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
out-think the competition are essential skills for this position.
