With a solid track record and reputation for success, GJ Cahill has been involved with many major industrial projects in Atlantic Canada providing construction, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical services.
As part of their continued growth and success they require an experienced Contracts Administrator to provide expertise on contract development and negotiation that will ensure the successful execution and completion of projects for the Company.
Working closely with the senior management team, the Contracts Administrator is responsible for ensuring the Company negotiates favorable contractual terms and conditions and then executes the work in accordance with the agreed Terms & Conditions. The Contracts Administrator ensures contracts are properly executed and that company contract administration procedures are implemented and followed by Company project teams. This role requires an individual with a positive business manner focused on working effectively with co-workers to contribute to the success of the project.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce or Engineering degree with ten years experience in industrial construction and/or plant operations including at least three in contracts administration. With knowledge of contract law principles and experience in project planning, including project execution and estimating, you employ a continuous improvement mindset focused on working with peers to improve and streamline company operations. Through your specific work experience negotiating industrial construction contracts you demonstrate a positive negotiating style that is focused on win/win solutions with customers and fellow co-workers.
